  1. View data by student

We need a way to view results for each student easily. I would like an option for choosing a student and viewing their data over multiple questions. I would also like to be able to see a line graph produced to see trends over time.

I would like to be able to click on a student name and see a history of responses (percentage correct, questioned answered, category of questions/skills where the student excels or struggles, etc.).

  2. Save all polling results to a spreadsheet

Save all polling results to spreadsheet. Clearly indicating which results are correct. Then we can use the tool for continuous assessment and to track individual student performance over duration of school term. That would be really useful!

  3. Add multiple questions from folder to queue at the same time!

I LOVE the new feature that allows us to organize in folders. Now if only there was a way to add that whole folder or multiple items from that folder to a queue at once! That would make life so easy!

  5. Multi-question report

  6. Organize questions

There needs to be an organization system for questions. It would be great to group them in folders by topics. For example, as an English teacher I could have questions sorted by folders for our various grammar units. Also, the idea of having quizzes with multiple questions would be useful and reduce clutter. For example, I wanted to poll my class with four or five grammar questions and had to create that many separate questions one at a time instead of having just one quiz.

It would also be great to re-use questions and/or folders in other classes.

Folders are live! If you have other ideas about organizing your plickers questions beyond this feature, please start a new idea thread!

Thank you so much for all your help getting this feature off the ground!

  7. I would like to be able to print out student reports of all of their questions answered

It would be helpful if I could print reports that compiles data by student.

  8. Be able to insert pictures or graphs into the questions

Many subjects would benefit from the ability to add pictures or graphs into the questions. It would be SUPER easy to do if we could edit questions on the computer rather than on the app. We could simply copy and past info in. I teach geography and would like to put in a picture of a country and have them identify it. Or a math teacher would benefit from having graphs or charts in the questions. PLEASE make this happen!

  9. Automatically queue up all the questions in a folder.

To save having to click on every question individually.

  10. "Next" Question Button

A "next" button for the mobile device, so after students have answered the question we can click "next" to move on to the next question rather than clicking the back arrow to get to the queue again. This takes up much needed time, and causes a lot on my peers to not use this application.

  11. Be able to archive questions into subject folders

If you could archive questions into subject folders, this would save time, but also allow you to use it again the following year.

    Hi friends!

We’ve added the addition of folders, which we very much hope addresses the idea here of wanting to “archive questions into subject folders.”

Essentially, we hope that having folders for your questions will let you easily organize and save questions to use from year to year without really needing to “archive” them since we’re more clearly distinguishing your Library from your Question Queue (active questions you’re planning on using more or less immediately).

If folders haven’t quite addressed your idea, please start a new thread in our forum!

    Thank you,

    Team Plickers

  12. Send Folder to Queue

After I have created a set of questions, I would like to put whole folders in the queue. That way, if I wanted to put 3 or 4 folders for a lesson in the queue, I could. For example, Formative assessment responses, Questions, Group Questions, Closure.

  13. "Reveal answers" capability from the app, so I'm not tied to my computer.

I'd love to be able to scan the room without showing the histogram on the screen (so students don't see the most popular answer), and then reveal it with the answer after scanning from the app.

Today’s update introduces two new buttons in the mobile app:

    Show Graph and Show Correct

Tap them to toggle the display of the correct answer and the graph of student responses.

We’d love to hear what you think!

  14. Create questions on the website & re-use across classes

It's difficult and tedious to create questions for each class on a smartphone. Allowing teachers to create questions on the website gives us the ability to plan out a week's worth of questions and use this for data-driven instruction. Simply having a questions page where we can then share the question between classes would make this app efficient and easy to use.

I would also like to be able to edit/label the answer choices for questions.

It would be great if the Teach view displayed the current question and answer choices.

  15. Be able to put a series of questions on the "Queue" simultaneously for all my classes(8). If not, be able to put a series of questions for 1

I teach 8 different health classes. I'd like to be able to add to the Queue more than one question at a time and for more than one class at a time. It would be a timesaver.

  16. Add an entire folder to a class que

Instead of having to add each question in a folder to my class ques individually, I'd like to be able to create a folder and add all questions in the folder to a class que in one step instead of having to do each question individually.

    Hello friends!

As you may have noticed, we’ve added the “Question Queue” on the website that allows you to reorder your questions and sync the queue to your mobile app.

If you specifically would like a way to reorder questions from within the app, please start a new thread on our forum so we can have fresh votes for the feature for those who don’t find the website feature helpful.

Thank you for all of your input!

  18. Upload student rosters

I have 175 students, and individually entering student names to set up classes takes quite a bit of time. I was just curious if I can upload my students into classes using a .csv file. Thanks!

    Hi Plickers friends,

Thanks to your awesome feedback, we’ve added the ability to copy-paste a class roster on Plickers! Woo hoo! We hope this comes at a good time for you to kick 2015 strong!

    Best,

    Jenn

  19. Allow you to assign student names, but not show them in Live View

It would be helpful if you can assign the numbers to your class by name, but not have the names show in live preview (this is hard on kids who do not want others to know they got the answer wrong).

    Hi Plickers Friends,

You’ve mentioned that you wanted the ability to hide students’ names in Live View.

We’ve added a button to hide the student response panel entirely and bring that back out when you want to review students’ answers (via the graph, etc). This is the button with the little arrow in a box next to the Full Screen button at the top of the Live View page. If you haven’t gotten a chance to check it out, please do so!

If you specifically wanted to show the card numbers’ response, but not the names, and still have the student response panel visible, please get the new idea rolling on the forum! We want to be sure to address your needs, but for now it seems that this “show/hide” student response button resolves most of the voters’ issues here.

    Thanks!

    Hi Plickers friends,

We have a way to print out your multiple question reports for your students (and for grading). It’s a lesser known feature of our Scoresheet.

To try this out, sign into your Plickers account, go to the “Reports” tab, then “Scoresheet.” From there, select the class you’d like a report for and the date of their quiz/assignment you’d like to see results for. Now, after your results have shown up, you can use the “Print reports for individual students” link on the left panel to print off the results. You’ll have a nice overview cover page with the class average and top 3 missed questions, and then there will be individual reports you can hand back to your students with their grades and answer choices.

    Hope that helps!

    Team Plickers
