Add iOS app features to Android app
- Create and Label questions
- Choose correct answers
- Clear response data
- Delete question
- Full-screen, portrait-mode camera like iOS
- Rotate answers button to fix scanning issues on some tablets
36 votesEureka! Android update released!
As soon as you update, you’ll be able to label your questions and set correct answers. The camera view is now full-screen, just like iOS. For those whose devices have been scanning answers incorrectly, there’s now a “Rotate answers” button (in the camera screen) that will let you calibrate the scanner. No delete yet, but you can clear the responses to a question. Let us know what you think – and please take a moment to rate the app in the Play Store!
Cheers,

Increase the maximum number of responses
Be able to have more than 40 responses.
Thanks for your help in Jan. This is a fantastic program and I'm sure that it will become very popular on our campus.

Choose camera orientation for Android devices
On my Asus Android tablet, scanning Plickers worked, but every 'A'-answer was registered as a 'D' (and B became A; C became B; and D became C).
It was only after the session that I figured out that this was probably because i used the tablet in landscape.
If it's not possible to change it, a warning 'like keep this side up' might be helpful (now I only saw the warning about keeping the camera vertical)5 votesFixed! The new Android update lets you “Rotate answers” to choose the camera orientation – make sure you update your app!
What to do if your device is scanning answers incorrectly:
1. Download and install the updated Android app from the Play store
2. Navigate to the Plickers camera screen (you’ll need to choose a class and add a question)
3. Scan a card and confirm that the answer is incorrect
4. Press the menu button (3 squares) in the bottom-right. Use the “Rotate answers” button until the answer scans correctly.Let us know if you have any trouble!

Show data on computer screen!
I think it would be great if the student's data not only showed up on my phone, but on my computer screen as well! That way the kids (and not only the teacher) could see that 8 of them chose A, 2 of them chose B, etc, etc.

More Card .pdf options
Where do I find Plickers cards?
I have more than 40 students at a time. Is there a pdf with more cards?
[via http://www.reddit.com/r/Teachers/comments/20y2x5/free_alternative_to_clickers/] Can I write the numbers and/or letters bigger, or will that disrupt the scan? I have some students that would really benefit from larger print.

Put a time stamp on the data when it is saved online.
I am using the android version and when I go online I can't tell much about when the data snapshot taken.
Thank you for your GREAT app. I love what you have started.

Make the Teach view track along with the app
The Teach view should automatically switch to the question I'm viewing in the app when I move from one question to another.
It only updates to show the question I'm viewing in the app when I scan a card or edit the question. I'd like it to move in lockstep with the app as I switch from question to question.

Upload student rosters
I have 175 students, and individually entering student names to set up classes takes quite a bit of time. I was just curious if I can upload my students into classes using a .csv file. Thanks!
100 votesHi Plickers friends,
Thanks to your awesome feedback, we’ve added the ability to copy-paste a class roster on Plickers! Woo hoo! We hope this comes at a good time for you to kick 2015 strong!
Best,
Jenn

Designate correct answer on website
When you look at your data on the website it clearly tells you who picked what answer and how many people picked a particular answer but all of the letters and bars are the same color. The correct answer bar should be green like it is in the app.

give directions on how this works
Are there directions on how this works somewhere that I am missing? Step by step instructions would be nice for how to set up questions. I am assuming that I have to either post my questions for the students somewhere or give them orally, but there is no clear direction that I can find on the website. Also in a demo I saw it showed the students being able to see the results. How do I get to that feature. HOw many questions (polls) can I have saved? How do I get from one to the next?
Am I missing…
14 votesThank you again for the feedback! We’ve added a “Getting Started” section to our Help Center (plickers.com/help#getting-started). We hope it helps new-to-Plickers teachers!

Clear response data for a poll
On the iOS app, the reset for a question needs to be made obvious. I still can't find it. Also, it would be nice to be able to view Help from within the iOS app.
6 votesStill need in-app Help, but Clear and Delete are now available in iOS

iOS coming soon?
I've got principals around Oakland USD interested in Plickers but are dying to know more info about the pending iOS app. Any info you can share about the timing of your "coming soon" iOS app?
Thanks for developing this!
