Plickers at the present form is not suitable to take attendence for me. I request the developers to add this functionality. Students will be supplied with cards at the start of the session or as they enter the class. Then by just reading the card (irrespective of the face a/b/c/d) a student can be marked as present. Those whose cards are not sensed are marked absent. Then there should be the functionality to compile these attendance for over a period of time (week/month/semester/year etc) to calculate percentage of presence/absence.

I am waiting for addition of this functionality with positive expectations. Hope the developers are taking note of this request

My only gripe is that the time-frame is not able to get a longer date range to reflect results?

I do this now. I just have a question for attendance that I ask at the start of class. I re-use the same question for every class. The problem is the reporting system makes it hard to get an overview of their attendance for the whole semester!

Yes. A great idea! Would be especially good if responses were time-stamped, so you could have late-arriving students "plick-in" when they enter and you'd have a record of how much time each student missed. This is especially important in New York, where the teacher evaluation system is based on the number of minutes per year that you teach each student.

This one should really be a 'no-brainer'
