Plickers in pe
My co-workers and I thought of an idea for Plickers in PE.
When running the mile it can be difficult to keep track of 50 or 90 students. While a teacher is trying to mark down a large group of students coming around the track, other students can be missed or may try cutting the lap when the teacher is not looking.
Our idea is to utilize the plickers system to mark down laps and running time. The program would need a stopwatch and a # of laps setting(we have a 2 lap mile and a 4 lap mile at…

Whiteboard on the question creation section.
I would also like to see a feature where you can incorporate a whiteboard drawing feature where you can use your mouse to draw equations for math, pictures for social students, science, or allow you annotate over pictures feature that someday will be incorporated.

Increase plicker image size proportionally & centered for letter or legal size card stock and choose custom margins when printing them
I'd like to have a little larger plicker image than the "small" so if I could print out the small plickers 2 to a page but then "scale" the image up 10-20% while the image continues to center itself according to the custom margins I entered then Life would be more awesome in my classroom. The small card is just a little too small to be seen from the other end of the classroom while the large plicker is way too large. Somewhere in the middle would be absolutely Perfect! Small Medium Large

Chose amount of cards.
When you print them, you should let us choose how many cards you want.

How about an option to make the cards personal to the student.
If I could include their name on the card, I wouldn't spend time remembering who is which number. Also, if I allowed them to keep cards with them, it would be easier when other teachers find the cards left in their room or hallway.

Built in LATEX equation editor for questions and answers
As a physics teacher it would be a real boon to be able to quickly and easily insert equations to questions and answers. Latex would be perfect for this, and online platforms already exist which convert latex code into an equation image. Combining this with Plickers would be absolutely awesome.

Larger response panel
I’m wondering if there is a way to change how large the student response panel is. My students like to see the checkmark appear by their name when I’ve received their response. However, since I have a large class, not all can see their name unless I go to the computer and scroll down.
1 voteHi Jennifer,
Since last you wrote, we’ve updated the Live View with a larger panel and also moved the students’ card numbers inside the square checkmark box to save space and enable more student names to be displayed. Has this been helpful for you?
Thank you for your feedback!

Hi everyone,
Today we released a big update to our reporting features that now gives you visibility into how your students did across multiple questions and date ranges. While each report is specific to your class, we also have the the ability to export your class results to a spreadsheet making it easy to combine your results in a spreadsheet. We hope this goes a long way towards meeting your needs and you can read more about the release here: http://blog.plickers.com/introducing-plickers-scoresheet/ -
ALLOW STUDENTS TO RESPOND WITH THEIR CELL PHONES
90% of my students have cell phones. I wish there was a way like the Remind app where my students can respond via their phones in conjunction with their cards.

Option for teacher to input students answer
It would be great if there a way to easily input a students answer choice if they forgot their card that day. Most students have their cards most days, but there is always one or two per day that left their binder at home. It would be great if there was an easy way for me as the teacher to put in their answer selection, as opposed to printing them a new card every time

great to have a completely anonymous mode. In Demo mode you can see the students letter response.
I told the students that they could answer anonymously but I can see the letter response right above their card.

Have a "Hide answers" button.
This allows students to think/answer the question BEFORE seeing answers that will guide their thinking. Too often (especially in math, what I teach), the MC solutions guide student thinking, rather than the problem guiding thinking. I want to be able to hide the answers so that students are not working backwards and guessing based on the MC answers.

Display correct answers with color only
I'd like to be able to display the correct answers (by color only) so that a student knows if they are correct or not, and cannot peak at someone else's answer.

Changing Views
It would be great if there was a way that on the app you could change back and forth from the student view to the graph view on the computer. That way you don't have to be going back and forth to the computer switching the views. The student view is great so kids can see if their answer was recorded and the kids enjoy seeing the graph view.

Print questions
It would be great to have a way to print a hard copy of questions that we have used with plickers. This would allow our students to reveiw the questions on their own as well.

Allow questions to be organized in sessions and rank student scores per session.
My students (age 12-16) want to know who had the best score. I could copy their answers from the question reports to a speadsheet but that takes me several minutes. Why not have this option on the website so I can give rewards?
