    To change a student answer, you can just re scan their card. I found this out by scanning a kid that did not have his card up, the student next to him had her card down but facing my camera/phone. It re scanned her with a different answer because her card shifted. So now when kids see they have been scanned I have them face their cards down so I don't accidentally re scan a different answer.
