  2. Instead of a minimum for 40 cards, make the minimum 10 cards per set

When I saw the number of minimum set of cards it was 40 for the standard pack. Can you decrease your number to 10? If you have 7 students in your class, would you waste paper and take 40 different Plickers cards? Please make a new pack of cards which consists of 10 different cards.

  4. Generic question 'front ends'

Provide, for all your clients a range of 'question beginnings' to get get someone new going but that all teachers can take and duplicate into their own bank multiple times and onto which they can add their own detailed endings - to more quickly generate many variations on a question theme.

For example which is the biggest/smallest, or best estimate, or Is this true (sometimes, always, never), which is the odd one out and so on... I'm sure there are many more; and different subjects may favour different beginnings.

I have already done this for myself (just the question beginnings)…

    Hi there,

We don’t have any official French instructions yet, but a very kind and generous teacher in France has shared a very good video here: https://youtu.be/pmtaQtoUWfE

    I hope it’s helpful!

    Best,

    Jenn + Team Plickers

  7. Create a faster way to start to do on-the-fly polling, without setting up a question

As a quick feedback tool, I would like to scan the room for student responses based on a question from outside Plickers. I'd like to just collect the data without having to set up a question (or multiple questions... e.g. reviewing a 25Q MC quiz)

    Hi Plickers friends!

We actually do have a way to collect data without setting up a question — you can simply tap the [+] button to create a new question, then tap the correct answer letter(s) and go ahead and tap the camera icon to start scanning the “empty” question.

What I’m really hearing here is that you’d like to have a faster way to do on-the-fly polling, and that is something we’d very much like to work on. To that end, I’m modifying this idea title just a bit to specify that!

We’re looking forward to changing up a lot of the mobile interface to make Plickers more intuitive and easy to use over the next few weeks!

    Thanks!

    Jenn

  9. I hope that you will remember that several CTE teachers will use this also and to add images that we can use in our areas also.

It would be great if there were a way for those of us that teach cosmetology and barbering could put this great opportunity to use in our area. A lot of times with things developed for teachers they just do thing for conventional teachers. To be able to use technology in my class room more would be fantastic!

  10. Option to change the presentation of the question

I have students who have support plans for dyslexia and other issues with reading. It would be helpful if I could change the background colour to help these students. An option of something like an Open Dyslexia font would be good too.

  12. Adjust margins for fewer cuts.

Rather than centering the images on the cards, move the images so that three of the four margins are the same.

For example, on the standard cards where the top margin looks about 1 inch, make the left margin the same 1 inch. Then you only have to cut the right margin, not both left and right to make the cards square. On the Large Cards, move the images up an inch or two so that only the bottom needs to be cut. (And maybe faint guide lines to know where to cut.)

This would make the cards neater and…

  13. Color-coded class grouping

I love the color-coded class grouping idea & the bulk planning. Would you mind adding a new idea about "Planning for multiple classes at once" to the ideas forum & copy-pasting this comment in? That'd be awesome & help us immensely with keeping this great idea on our "to do" list here.

  14. Once questions can be shared, produce a QR code that would refer to the question (to embed a quick quiz, for example)

If teachers share lessons on smartboards, a question about the material just covered could be referenced with a pointer (like a QR code) that would open those questions in this teacher's plickers app.

  15. Allow questions to be organized in sessions and rank student scores per session.

My students (age 12-16) want to know who had the best score. I could copy their answers from the question reports to a speadsheet but that takes me several minutes. Why not have this option on the website so I can give rewards?

  16. Border around QR

I would like to have the option to print cards with or without a border around the QR code. My students cut & glue the cards into a notebook. A box around the code would make this easier and neater.

  18. Increase plicker image size proportionally & centered for letter or legal size card stock and choose custom margins when printing them

I'd like to have a little larger plicker image than the "small" so if I could print out the small plickers 2 to a page but then "scale" the image up 10-20% while the image continues to center itself according to the custom margins I entered then Life would be more awesome in my classroom. The small card is just a little too small to be seen from the other end of the classroom while the large plicker is way too large. Somewhere in the middle would be absolutely Perfect! Small Medium Large

  19. Ability to change correct/incorrect color options on mobile device settings

I am color-blind, and I cannot look quickly at my device and tell whether student answers are correct or incorrect. If a couple other colors were available besides red and green, it would really help me.

  20. Changing Views

It would be great if there was a way that on the app you could change back and forth from the student view to the graph view on the computer. That way you don't have to be going back and forth to the computer switching the views. The student view is great so kids can see if their answer was recorded and the kids enjoy seeing the graph view.
