How can we make Plickers better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Allow images to be copied from the web and pasted into the question box instead of saving the image and importing it.

  2. It would be nice if we could change the default live view from "students" to "graph" so that the names would not be visible to the class.

    It would be handy if we had more control over the set up for the live view. Instead of always defaulting to show students names, or the card numbers, going straight to the graph first would be a nice option.

  4. Could you make the student panel smaller. We cannot see the question while answering. Maybe 1/4 of the screen instead of 1/2?

  5. Add button to switch between "Student" and "Graph"

    I would like to see a button added to the phone app to switch between "Graph" and "Students" so there is no need to return to the computer.

  6. I would love to be able to upload multiple images to a questions.

    As a visual arts teacher it would be great to be able to upload multiple images for students to distinguish.

  7. Lesson Category

    Teachers really need to be able to save a group of questions as a "lesson." This will give them better organization and utility. Teachers can then load a lesson in to the queue, saving time.

  8. Be able to "reveal answer" from app

    It would be great not to have to walk back to the computer each time to reveal the correct answer.

  9. Using the system to sign in/sign out expensive school equipment - ie laptops

    A completely new use. Being able to control and record which student has which device or equipment (laptops/science apparatus/knives/). Benefits include safety, efficiency, familiarity, ownership and hopefully will help maintain the condition and reduce cost of repairs

    1) Each class is given a code (scan code to bring up class register)
    2) Each student in a class is assigned a number (the number is associated to a code)

    • then, to sign out equipment....

    3) scan students code (it brings up equipment number required )
    4) scan code on equipment - equipment is now ASSIGNED
    - to sing equipment IN...

  12. Allow for Download of Questions for later use Offline

    As a student teacher using Plickers with my students, I do not have access to the internet on my own device. When I create questions online, the questions convert over to a tablet when I have internet access but then disappear when I do not have internet access. Is there a way that I can keep these questions on my personal device? And I would also like to be able to let the students see the questions on the board (from a computer that does get internet access) since I cannot click a question on my internet restricted device for…

  14. Import 3rd party materials.

    Is there an easier way to import test questions from self or 3rd party material(beside copy and past)?
    and JPEG file, music file?

    I think this ability would be the best selling idea for user (even this app is free, but you know what i mean).

  15. Allow Color Changes

    Teachers who have difficulty distinguishing between red/green would like an option to change the color on the screen where we scan student cards. The students with the correct answer scan green and incorrect scans red. It is difficult for some to see the colors. Perhaps color choices could be added.

  16. Adding questions

    Can we add questions to the queue by dragging them instead of having to click on a button under each question. This is too tedious and wastes a lot of time.

    Scoresheet providing is great, I finaly found a way to use raw data, but it would be usefull if the table was formatted as it looks like on line.

  18. App uses too much power on my phone (depletes iPhone battery quickly)

    This feels like a bug report... don't remember the iOS app using this much power? When I use the app on my iPhone 6s throughout the day my battery is nearly depleted by the time I finish teaching (always communicating with the internet even if not actively using it?).

  19. can we have multiple options for points? like Answer A is worth 100 points, then B is worth 80, C 75, etc... or something like that?
