Honestly, it would be amazing if we could assign an individual plicker to each student, so that we could get individual data. I have 121 students.

I would imagine that the total number of cards in the set is limited by the simplicity of the image that represents each card. Something over 63 would require that each image have more pixels, so instead of a 5x5 pixel card you would need a 6x6 pixel card and then you start getting into smaller pixels are more difficult to recognize.
