How can we make Plickers better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Move students to different classes as needed.

    When students are moved to a different class in school, it would be very beneficial to be able to move that student in Plickers and maintain the database connection. I know there would be a problem perhaps with Plicker numbers, but if the data is tied to the name or another unique identifier it could work even if their Plicker number had to be changed.

  3. Scanning does not work with sony xperia phone

    App does not work with sony xperia Z3 compact phone, model D5833, Android 6.0.1

    When trying to scan the class all I get is a black screen. It's as if the app is unable to access the camera.

    I'm really looking foward to trying plickers in my classes, but need it to work with my phone first.

  4. Plickers Partners

    Some sort of function that assigns students to partners. For example, the teacher has a task where students work in groups of four students. They set the function for four and then the site randomizes the partners.

    Also, students could choose their own partners and then hold up their cards, which would be assigned to groups. Teachers could gather group data that way.

  7. To use our own Employee QR Codes

    Our employees have an individual QR Code they are required to carry with them. Since they all come to training with these, it would be nice if they could use their own individual QR Codes to utilize the app.

  8. Grouping and moving questions

    Hi,
    congratulations for your app, it's exciting to use it in class. The children like it and it's great that you can check in the very moment the problems the children can have.
    As a teacher, I have a couple of suggestions:
    1. It would be great if you can move a group of questions, both in a folder or in the report, to another place. Now, at least I couldn't find a better way, you have to move one by one and it needs a lot of time.
    2. I would suggest to add the possibility to add questions…

    Create school groups similar to class dojo so that when one teacher creates a class or adds a student to the software, other teachers can use that data without having to re-enter it.

    Moving questions more konveniently: moving every question solely is very annoying. maybe you can add boxes, that enables to select more questions to be moved somewhere else…

    In order to do more difficult proofs... the app could penalize the questions answer incorrectly, so you can make your students think about the answer.

  16. Automatically assign card numbers based on first name instead of last name

    I keep my roster and gradebook in alphabetical order by first name instead of last name. However, when I copy and paste the roster into Plickers, the students are assigned numbers based on their last names. I would like them to be assigned student numbers automatically based on the order that I pasted the roster.

    Example:
    I paste a roster. The student whose FIRST name begins with A gets card 1, and the student whose FIRST name begins with Z gets card 26 (or however many students are in the class).

  18. Front Facing Camera/Laptop Camera Integration

    I am an elementary physical eduction teacher in NJ. Right now students are completely dependent on me to scan the plickers. I have created "plicker necklaces" for my students and would like for them to be completely independent during a lesson and scan/answer a question whenever they have completed a task. If I was able to use a forward facing camera on an iPad (or similar device) or set up a laptop as a station, this would allow me to continue instruction uninterrupted as well as tailor my lesson for the students that seem to be struggling cognitively.
