How can we make Plickers better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. I think it would be a little more user friendly if the queue was removed...

    I would like to be able to click on a class from the app, then click library and immediately select an entire folder of questions to go live with. It's very time consuming to have to click each individual question and then add it to the queue. I can't see how having the queue is a better option than this alternative.

  2. Allow numeric answers

    This would be perfect if I could allow my math classes to also enter numeric answers instead of just multiple choice.

  3. Explanation of correct answer. A fifth entry field to if needs be add an explanation to fix misconceptions

    I often use diagnostic questions and then find that to explain to students why it's correct I have to go elsewhere. Some jpg embedded into a fifth field that then pops up if filled to recap some concepts.

  4. Make it easier to enter fractions for problems

    When entering fractions, it's nearly impossible to enter numerator over denominator, they have to be entered side by side like 1/4.

  5. I would love to be able to upload multiple images to a questions.

    As a visual arts teacher it would be great to be able to upload multiple images for students to distinguish.

  6. Be able to "reveal answer" from app

    It would be great not to have to walk back to the computer each time to reveal the correct answer.

  7. Sharing and saving time

    • to duplicate the answers (or maybe the whole question, so you could modify the question keeping the same answers)
    • to share questions or even folders in my library
    • to queue folders instead of questions
    • to queue several folders at a time and get separate reports without having to untick them in the day report
    • to export reports in an spreadsheet (ideally drive format)

  8. Notification of scanned image with sound

    It would be great if we could hear some type of notification sound when scanning the room as each student's response is captured. Also include the option to scan with/without notification sounds.

  9. Lesson Category

    Teachers really need to be able to save a group of questions as a "lesson." This will give them better organization and utility. Teachers can then load a lesson in to the queue, saving time.

  11. Adding a SOUND FILE to multiple choice.

    Sound file could be uploaded as a .wav mp3 or mp4. This would really assist with guided listening.

  12. log-in with google

    Enable "Log-in with Google" so we don't need a separate account. I can log-in to this support page with Google, but not the actual site??

  13. Be able to mark absent students and ...

    when everyone in a class has answered a question it immediately goes to the next question.

  14. Change answer

    Currently,if a student changes their answer, there is no way for a student to tell that it did, in fact, change. The way it is, I have to let them know that they changed it. It would be great for them to know, even if it's something as simple as a different color behind the checkmark or possibly a number next to their name for the number of times they've chosen.

  15. Option for teacher to input students answer

    ​It would be great if there a way to easily input a students answer choice if they forgot their card that day. Most students have their cards most days, but there is always one or two per day that left their binder at home. It would be great if there was an easy way for me as the teacher to put in their answer selection, as opposed to printing them a new card every time

  17. Image size in Live View window.

    The amount of screen space allocated to images in the Live View window is quite small. Resizing the image on the user end has no impact on this. Please allow some customization of how the Live View screen is organized. Examples, resizing text, other components of the window, etc.

  18. Could we somehow embed the Plickers Questions / using the App into our ActivInspire Flipcharts?

    Many teachers use ActivInspire to create flipcharts for showing / demonstrating curriculum to students to make it more engaging. Allowing Plickers to be embedded into this program would be so much easier than trying to use classflow which is much more complicated to use than Plickers.

  20. change live view to start with response panel hidden

    I would like to be able to set the default live view so that the response panel is hidden when I bring up the question in live view so the students can respond without being influenced by how their peers. I would then like to default to graph view and not the class list when I reveal the panel.
