  1. Have a set of 20 cards or smaller

Make a smaller set, so classes with 0-20 would not have to make a double set and waste material.

  2. Different sized qr codes

be able to print at least 4 QR codes to a page. Or have them the size of "name tag" Avery sticker labels to stick to the back of other answer methods such as personal white boards.

    Hi friends,

You can print 4 QR codes to a page by printing the standard set with 2 pages per 8.5 × 11″ sheet. Since each standard page has 2 Plickers QR codes on them, when you print 2 per page, it will automatically have 4 codes per page for you!

    Best,

    Jenn

  3. Alternating letters for standardized tests

Many tests don't use just ABCD as answer choices--they alternate with FGHJ (or another combo). Having cards that have both of these printed (usually like A/F, B/G, C/H, D/J) makes it easier when taking grades.

  4. Only Black and White cards

When printing the cards in my lexmark laser printer the numbers and letters are almost invisible because they are gray. I tried many settings, but no luck. I suggest present these letters numbers in 100% black.

  6. Restore large Plicker cards

There used to be a large (1 up) version of the Plicker cards that was available for 63 students. The file appears to have disappeared, and the Amazon version certainly doesn't have 63 codes. Given that I almost always teach more than 40 students in a lecture theatre setting this is a major constraint.

Could this file be made available again, please?

  7. Coloured Plicker frame: doubles as a 'Traffic Light' formative assessment tool

I've created a coloured frame which sits around the Plicker - A = Green, B = Red, C = Amber (and for completeness D = Blue). This way the Plicker cards double as a traffic light formative assessment card (this strategy involves a quick visual snapshot of students' level of understanding of a concept (i.e. students hold up green for 'all ok', amber for 'sort of' and so on). On the frame A also has a 'Yes', B a 'No' and C a 'Depends'. This is really handy when you want a quick response without recording responses. It does remove…

  8. Card backs

I've already made these but they look great and are really useful. On the reverse of each card there is a square with the number of the card in large lettering. Of course each number appears four times, facing each direction, so it's not possible to tell which way it's orientated from behind. I've also colour coded each with a unique radial gradient (some nicely garish combinations). This means the students can remember their card number better and it also makes it a lot quicker to distribute cards. That and it makes the set of cards look really wonderfully colourful.…

  9. A large font expanded set would be awesome!

A large font expanded set would be awesome because we have two teachers that teach together and have 48 kids. But the little cards are too small for the little kids I think.

  10. Instead of a minimum for 40 cards, make the minimum 10 cards per set

When I saw the number of minimum set of cards it was 40 for the standard pack. Can you decrease your number to 10? If you have 7 students in your class, would you waste paper and take 40 different Plickers cards? Please make a new pack of cards which consists of 10 different cards.

  11. We would like to generate large numbers of cards with a name on it for our faculty attending PD sessions in large auditoriums.

Easy way to take attendance? We could avoid long lines signing in and prevent signing in friends who aren't there. We have a badge scanning system, but there could still be lines waiting to scan. And we have multiple sessions and classes. I'm not sure we have that many mobile scanners.

    Hi there,

We’d love to know more about this “one card” idea. Would you mind sharing what you had in mind for this by adding some detail to this post (so other teachers can also add their comments and votes)!

    Thanks,

    Team Plickers

  15. Grouping system with different answers, no more 1 pupil yelling 'A!' and the rest also voting A.

Create a few groups, for example the bunnies, the reindeers, the chickens etc. linked to a set of Plicker cards. The replies for the different groups would be ranked differently so that, for example, the correct reply for the chickens is A, whereas for the bunnies it is C.

The reason? Simple, sometimes pupils still mumble/yell A or B, the rest follows suit. This would make it a tad harder.

  16. Increase plicker image size proportionally & centered for letter or legal size card stock and choose custom margins when printing them

I'd like to have a little larger plicker image than the "small" so if I could print out the small plickers 2 to a page but then "scale" the image up 10-20% while the image continues to center itself according to the custom margins I entered then Life would be more awesome in my classroom. The small card is just a little too small to be seen from the other end of the classroom while the large plicker is way too large. Somewhere in the middle would be absolutely Perfect! Small Medium Large

  20. How about no cards needed

I love this platform, but now that my school is going one to one, I would love to be able to share my questions and have students answer electronically instead of with cards.
