How can we make Plickers better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. Front Facing Camera/Laptop Camera Integration

    I am an elementary physical eduction teacher in NJ. Right now students are completely dependent on me to scan the plickers. I have created "plicker necklaces" for my students and would like for them to be completely independent during a lesson and scan/answer a question whenever they have completed a task. If I was able to use a forward facing camera on an iPad (or similar device) or set up a laptop as a station, this would allow me to continue instruction uninterrupted as well as tailor my lesson for the students that seem to be struggling cognitively.   3. paperforms to generate multiple choice questions by students

    It would be nice if the students could fill out a paper form with a field for the question and four fields for the answers and one mark for the correct answer. The teacher would scan the form with his cam and would have a new question for the class.

  6. Plickers Attendance

    Every student will be provided with plickers cards with unique patterns on it. At the end of every class or lecture , the faculty in the class scans all the cards for attendance. In case of the cards of respective student misses, it will be marked as absent. If the card is scanned it is marked as present. In this case the proxy of attendance can be reduced and faculty's time will be saved

  8. Flipped app mode

    To enable a student mode on the app that lets teachers post the cards as AR markers for students to scan. Then, instead of the students' names appearing, whatever text/image associated with that card does instead.

  16. Multiple Users Per Set

    I would like to add my co-teacher to my classes. She needs administrator privileges like creating questions and answers and editing rosters. I think this is a better alternative than giving out my log-in information.

  17. Automatically assign card numbers based on first name instead of last name

    I keep my roster and gradebook in alphabetical order by first name instead of last name. However, when I copy and paste the roster into Plickers, the students are assigned numbers based on their last names. I would like them to be assigned student numbers automatically based on the order that I pasted the roster.

    Example:
    I paste a roster. The student whose FIRST name begins with A gets card 1, and the student whose FIRST name begins with Z gets card 26 (or however many students are in the class).

  20. Add items to queue from question history report

    I would like to be able to look up how my class did on past questions, and add those questions back to the queue without navigating away from the question history report.

    So if I see that 30% of my class missed a specific question, I can one or two-click to get it added back to that class queue.
