Import questions from 3rd-party sources
It would be great to be able to create the questions on the website as well as the app and to be able to import preexisting questions from other sources like USA Test Prep, etc.
*Note from Plickers: We'd love to hear more about the resources you'd like to import questions from -- this will better guide us in figuring out what content-providers we'd want to work with down the road to provide better content for you!

A central bank would be great!

Import and export with Blackboard Learn question pools would be great! Could also use Respondus format or something similar. Then I can then use my questions in other applications/formats without re-typing them.

Or just the ability to have a central database of questions - so when I create a review, I can share it and others can just use it and not have to recreate one for themselves. Like on Kahoot!

Csv especially, and maybe text as if from quizlet or word

This is an absolutely interesting way to evaluate and have the student to be curious and participative. Thanks who ever thought about that!!!

I would love to be able to import questions or use the ActivInspire flipchart at the same time.

I am using Plickers right now as a pre-assessment at the beginning of a unit and will do it again at the end to see what the students have learned. I'd like to be able to copy and paste the questions from one "library" to the next.

I often type my Plicker questions directly into Plicker, but have begun to think that it would be helpful to able to copy and paste them directly into my lesson plan (Word file) so I can use the same wording again or see it all easily if I want to modify it in the future. Thanks!

I would also like to be able to import questions somehow. I would also like to browse questions from a public library of questions.

Same as others. I use Kahoot for 2 of my classes, but my 3rd class doesn't have access to the same tech. So Plickers work for them, but I don't want to have to retype all of my quizzes into yet another platform. Import options please!

I have many quitlet items. I avoid Plickers because I would have to type every thing again. Can I import a csv file?

Please, look into existing questions import feature. A text document import would be great.

We would like to import from a word doc or csv.

I would love this idea as well. We have so many tests that we are suppose to use and it would be great if we could upload those questions without having to do every single one at a time!

Actually, adding questions by batch copy-paste, as mentioned by Francis Wass on 1/15/15, would be very useful. This might be easier for users and for Plickers programmers, seeing how the copy-paste import feature already exists for user rosters.
The important thing about a batch copy-paste method is that it would be batch: a whole question library could be pasted into a single Plickers.com text box, just as is the case with the class roster import on Plickers.com.

Looks like a lot of people want the ability to import questions from different sources. Most of these sources probably allow users to export questions to rtf, txt, xls, xlsx, or csv, in their own specialized format. I think if Plickers were to have a file import method even with one specialized format, even if it were to be a format unique to Plickers.com, this feature would be very useful. I think most Plickers users would be willing to do the following:
1. export their questions from their publisher or software of choice,
2. make the necessary formatting changes by hand or by script,
3. import the formatted file into their Plickers library. -

My textbook publisher has rich text files full of lecture clicker questions. I would like to be able to import into a Plickers library. Even if some specialized formatting were required before uploading, the ability import questions from a file would be a big time-saver. Thank you.
