Yes, you can migrate IMAP emails to Google Workspace while preserving important mailbox data when using a migration tool that supports direct IMAP-to-Google Workspace transfer. DRS Softech IMAP Migration Tool supports migration from IMAP-enabled services such as Gmail, Yahoo, Zoho Mail, Outlook.com, and AOL to Google Workspace. It supports secure JSON Key or P12 Key authentication and allows administrators to map source IMAP accounts to destination Google Workspace accounts. The software also provides mailbox tree preview, folder-level email counts, date and advanced mail filters, duplicate removal, and incremental migration options. These features can help users select the required mailbox data and avoid repeatedly transferring previously migrated emails. The tool supports both Single Account and Batch/CSV modes, making it suitable for individual users as well as multiple mailbox migrations. However, IMAP migration is limited to email-related data; contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, mailbox rules, signatures, permissions, and certain provider-specific metadata are not transferred through IMAP.
