Create a faster way to start to do on-the-fly polling, without setting up a question
As a quick feedback tool, I would like to scan the room for student responses based on a question from outside Plickers. I'd like to just collect the data without having to set up a question (or multiple questions... e.g. reviewing a 25Q MC quiz)

Hi Plickers friends!
We actually do have a way to collect data without setting up a question — you can simply tap the [+] button to create a new question, then tap the correct answer letter(s) and go ahead and tap the camera icon to start scanning the “empty” question.
What I’m really hearing here is that you’d like to have a faster way to do on-the-fly polling, and that is something we’d very much like to work on. To that end, I’m modifying this idea title just a bit to specify that!
We’re looking forward to changing up a lot of the mobile interface to make Plickers more intuitive and easy to use over the next few weeks!
Thanks!

Add some type of game integration. (Gamify Plickers)
Qwizdom and Socrative both have games that are played when answering question. It is merely a graphical display of what students are answering the most positive questions. It will require that you add the ability to make quizzes first. An example of game integration is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEsoFaubtS0

Sync with Skyward
Most states are using Skyward as their grading system. If plickers was able to export names/ID numbers and input data results for grading--you'd have a whole bunch of ecstatic teachers!

nice feature you have here. Can you get a spell check or auto correct option for when we are typing in questions? thanks!

Connect it to Edmodo
I'm using edmodo with my students, if it was connected this would be amazing. Student data would then be live.

Enter multiple questions in at one time
Upload a document (like a multiple choice quiz with 20 questions and their answer options) and the questions are automatically entered as 20 separate questions instead of hand typing every question in.

Assessing understanding using Plickers
In our school over here in the UK, we like to ask the children about their current understanding (sometimes at the start, sometimes during and sometimes at the end of lessons). We use traffic light colours to do this. I have added a red dot next to the A, an orange dot next to the B, a green dot next to the C and a white dot next to D. Red normally means limited understanding and need help, amber is getting there, green means they have understood it and white is expert meaning they could teach it someone else. It…

Allow me to delete or archive multiple questions at a time.
It would save a bunch of time if I could delete or archive batches of questions

Add url variables
I use the Liveweb add-in for powerpoint to insert the live view screen into powerpoints and I would like to specify that the live view page open with the graph view rather than the list of students.
Maybe I'm just lazy, but I'd like to avoid having to go over to my laptop to change the view when I use a clicker for changing slides.

Stickers
To make the letters larger, I simply placed sticky dots over the existing letters and rewrote the letters, larger, with a fine tipped marker. It makes it easier for young students.

Allow teachers to share questions with each other
My team of math teachers is all using Plickers this year. Is there a way we could share questions in our libraries with each other?

Voice recognition software
I am so excited to get started with Plickers! It would be fabulous if teachers could use voice recognition to ask questions on the fly. Something along the lines of Siri where you ask a question verbally and your app recognizes it and then allows you to scan your class for questions on the go! :)

Cards for Primary Grades
As a first grade teacher I had to come up with a way for my children to hold the card the right way. Often they were covering part of the bar code with their fingers (the one with 2 per page). So I put stickers on the four corners and call them their finger spots. This way they know where their fingers should be and don't cover any of the bar code for easy scanning. It would be great if these could be printed on the card though so they are more durable.

Allow 5 answer choices instead of just 4
It would involve redesigning the cards, but I'd love to have 5 answer choices available. Many standardized tests (like the SAT) have 5 answer choices, and it would be nice to use Plickers to invigorate our SAT prep.
I've had a great experience so far using Plickers in my classroom. Thanks for making the app available!

Add other graph display options
It would be good if there were options for displaying the data/graphs including:
- embed code for individual poll graphs
- colour
- graph type6 votes -

Mark a student absent
I would like to be able to mark a student absent, so I don't continually think they didn't respond. If possible, the fraction could represent the number of people present that day.
Example: I have 43 students enrolled in the class, 2 students are absent (which I would love to do via plickers - my first scan would be called attendance then if I could click their name and check a box or something to effectively eliminate them from the roster that day it would be amazing. I could do it differently if that is too difficult to program.) After…407 votes
