How can we make Plickers better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  2. Card backs

    I've already made these but they look great and are really useful. On the reverse of each card there is a square with the number of the card in large lettering. Of course each number appears four times, facing each direction, so it's not possible to tell which way it's orientated from behind. I've also colour coded each with a unique radial gradient (some nicely garish combinations). This means the students can remember their card number better and it also makes it a lot quicker to distribute cards. That and it makes the set of cards look really wonderfully colourful.…

  3. Print hard copy of assessment

    Allow a way to print the questions and answer choices for students who were absent to retake with paper and pencil.

  4. Front Facing Camera/Laptop Camera Integration

    I am an elementary physical eduction teacher in NJ. Right now students are completely dependent on me to scan the plickers. I have created "plicker necklaces" for my students and would like for them to be completely independent during a lesson and scan/answer a question whenever they have completed a task. If I was able to use a forward facing camera on an iPad (or similar device) or set up a laptop as a station, this would allow me to continue instruction uninterrupted as well as tailor my lesson for the students that seem to be struggling cognitively.   5. paperforms to generate multiple choice questions by students

    It would be nice if the students could fill out a paper form with a field for the question and four fields for the answers and one mark for the correct answer. The teacher would scan the form with his cam and would have a new question for the class.

  6. Collapse/expand the class list in LiveView?

    I'd like the option to collapse/expand the class list from the right hand side of LiveView. The question could then fill the screen when pupils first see it. The list could then be expanded when we are ready to scan responses.

    share questions, organised by topic and level. vote on questions (simple like would suffice) and ability to comment on the questions in order to improve them.

  10. Flipped app mode

    To enable a student mode on the app that lets teachers post the cards as AR markers for students to scan. Then, instead of the students' names appearing, whatever text/image associated with that card does instead.

  12. Display also the time besides date

    The date is displayed in >reports >question history. But not the time.

    Sometimes we want to re-ask the same question to the same students in the same class to see a progress (after discussion). For that we need the time displayed so that we can see which survey came first.

    Alternatively to a time display, we also could display ascent numbers (order).

    I would like the ability to grab and move questions to reorder them when I need to vs clicking the arrows to move them up and down. It would be so much quicker.

  14. Offline usage

    An Offline apk would be perfect for places without WiFi (like in developing countries). Now we still need a Internet connection.

    Best inbuilt in the apk. Otherwise connected with a laptop (as server) - bluetooth or WLAN. Or even wired by USB cable as a safe option!

  15. A great feature to add would be the ability to insert a video, or video clip, in the "question box."

    Students would watch the video/video clip and then answer a question(s) about the video.

  16. Get a max date range of 6 months instead of 1

    Get a date range max of 6 months instead of 1 because most middle school teachers in Europe work by semester or term. That's why it would very useful to get an overview of several months results to evaluate the students.
