How can we make Plickers better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Use plickers in a team setting

    I sometimes do formative assessment in a team setting. It would be really neat to give a plicker to each student but they are on teams. The team with the most correct answers would win but I would still have the individual responses from the students.

  2. More than 63 people

    I have a class of 69 and would love to use plickers to help with attendance. It could be useful in lectures and large ensemble classes.

  3. Subdivide a class into two "teams," or by gender. Pose the same question to the two "teams" at the same time.

    Hi! I just discovered Plickers and even though the school year is over, you can bet I'll be incorporating it into my class next year!

    Anyway, I often like to pit one side of the class against the other. They love this kind of competition and it drives them to succeed. I would love to see a feature where I subdivide a class into two "teams," and, activating a "competition mode" I can pose the same question to the two "teams" at the same time and have the results display side by side.   4. Assign the same Question to Multiple Classes

    Is there any way to assign all my classes to a question all at the same time? I have 20 music classes and some questions I ask everybody, and some only certain grade levels.

  5. Moving Students to Different Classes

    We need a way to move students to different classes? I'd like to move 3rd graders up to their 4th grade classes each year. It would be nice if each student had a list of my existing classes in their dropdown menu. That way I can move the kids from year to year to their respective classes.

  6. Automatically shuffle student numbers

    make student numbers in class rosters automatically reassign all numbers in order when a student is added or deleted in the middle or beginning of a roster. e.g. delete student 12, all other student numbers shift accordingly.

  7. Move students to different classes as needed.

    When students are moved to a different class in school, it would be very beneficial to be able to move that student in Plickers and maintain the database connection. I know there would be a problem perhaps with Plicker numbers, but if the data is tied to the name or another unique identifier it could work even if their Plicker number had to be changed.

  8. Have classes duplicated with student card numbers

    It would be nice to copy a class with student names and card numbers and just edit the class. For example I would like to have my 2nd grade class broken into subjects for math,reading, science, and so on.

  9. use the video camera, multiple pics, or pano for larger scan captures.

    This is a great way to get instant feedback in large classrooms, but my choir classes are over 30 and over 50 kids. I can't back up far enough to capture the whole classroom. If there was a way to scan using the panorama camera or even short video or multiple pictures that would really help people like me who have more than just a normal size classroom!

  10. Can you make the question area wider?

    Can you make the question area wider in the live view so the question can be bigger? The section with the student names or bar graph doesn't have to take up half the screen, it could be taller.

  11. Can we have UK Year groups in the class options, please?

    When setting up classes, it would be useful to have UK Year descriptors as an option, since we don't have the Grade system here in the UK.

  12. Print out of the students who share that same number.

    I teach 17 different classes in my subject, so I have 17 people who share the same number. Is there a way to get a print out of all the students who are using the #3 card. I teach elementary students and my students forget all the time and use the wrong card. This would make plickers more user friendly.

  15. Assign students Plickers card numbers that stay the same across multiple classes

    I have 5 classes. I cannot seem to create more than one class and my kids have certain assigned numbers that repeat for each class. It would help me know that in my 4th block class, # 1, 5, 17 got wrong answer and in 2nd block, #2, 6,17 got it wrong.
